Install AutoFAQ directly from the Shopify App Store. Click "Add app," follow the authorization prompts, and you'll be ready to generate your first FAQ in minutes. No credit card required to start with the Free plan.
Setup takes less than 5 minutes. After installing, simply open AutoFAQ from your Shopify admin, select a product, and click Generate. Your first FAQ section can be live on your storefront within minutes.
No coding required. AutoFAQ is designed for merchants, not developers. The entire experience — generating, editing, customizing, and publishing FAQs — is done through a simple point-and-click interface inside your Shopify admin.
AutoFAQ works with all Shopify themes, including Online Store 2.0 themes. FAQs are stored as Shopify metafields and rendered using native Liquid blocks, ensuring seamless integration with any theme without custom code.
AutoFAQ requests only the permissions it needs to function:
read_products — to read your product data for FAQ generation

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from within the AutoFAQ settings. Changes take effect immediately, and billing is handled directly through Shopify's subscription system.
If you reach your monthly generation limit, you won't be able to generate new FAQs until the next billing cycle resets your count — or until you upgrade to a higher plan. You can still view, edit, and publish any FAQs you've already generated.

Billing is managed entirely through Shopify. Charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice, so there's no need to enter separate payment information. Shopify handles all subscription management, upgrades, and cancellations.
White-label means the AutoFAQ branding is completely removed from your storefront FAQ sections. No "Powered by AutoFAQ" badges or references appear anywhere on your store, giving a fully branded, native experience for your customers. Branding removal is also available on the Starter plan and above.

AutoFAQ reads the following product data from your Shopify store to generate contextually relevant FAQs:
Product title and description
Variants (sizes, colors, materials, etc.)
Product tags
Product type and vendor
The more detailed your product descriptions, the more accurate and useful your generated FAQs will be.
FAQs are stored directly in your Shopify store as product metafields (and metaobjects). This means the data lives in your Shopify account — not on a third-party server — ensuring reliability, portability, and compliance with Shopify's data standards.
No. FAQ generation happens inside the AutoFAQ admin panel, not on your storefront. On the storefront, FAQs are rendered as static Liquid HTML — there are no external API calls at load time, so there is zero performance impact on your page speed.
Yes. AutoFAQ is fully compatible with Online Store 2.0 themes. It uses Shopify's native section and block architecture, so you can add your FAQ section anywhere on a product page using the theme editor — no code changes needed.
AutoFAQ collects minimal data necessary to operate the app: your Shopify store URL, access tokens for API calls, the product data used for generation, and usage statistics (e.g., number of generations). No customer data, payment information, or personally identifiable information is stored. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Product data is sent to AI providers (OpenAI / Anthropic) solely for the purpose of generating your FAQs. This is necessary for the AI generation to work. We do not sell your data or share it with any other third parties. You can review our full data practices in the Privacy Policy.

You can uninstall AutoFAQ at any time from your Shopify admin under Settings → Apps and sales channels. Uninstalling removes the app's access to your store. Any FAQs already published to your product pages (stored as metafields) will remain until you manually delete them.
Yes. You can request full data deletion by contacting us at support@scurix.com after uninstalling the app. We will remove all store-related data from our systems within 30 days in accordance with our data retention policy.
AI-generated content is a starting point, not a final product. You have full edit control to adjust any question or answer before publishing. For best results, make sure your product descriptions are detailed and accurate — the more information the AI has, the better the output. You can also regenerate to get a fresh set of questions.
